Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Operations to lead and manage their financial, legal, and operational functions. This is a critical leadership role that will oversee key aspects of the business, ensuring compliance, financial health, and smooth operational processes that align with our mission and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budget Management & Financial Projections:
- Develop, manage, and oversee organizational budgets.
- Create financial projections, reports, and strategies to ensure sustainable operations and growth.
- Work closely with leadership to align financial plans with organizational goals.
- Legal Compliance:
- Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant local, state, and federal laws, including financial, labor, and tax regulations.
- Liaise with legal advisors to mitigate risk and maintain regulatory standards.
- Documentation Systems:
- Monitor and improve the organization's documentation and reporting systems, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timely updates.
- Implement best practices for data security, record-keeping, and reporting processes.
- Team Management:
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Strategic Leadership:
- Partner with executive leadership to set strategic priorities and ensure operational alignment with the organization's mission.
- Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership and the board.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Proven managerial experience in a business operations role, preferably within a non-profit organization.
- Experience managing budgets, financial forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Strong knowledge of legal compliance and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrated success in managing and leading teams.
