Job Full Description:
An East Texas Roofing construction company is seeking an accountant to join their growing team. The successful candidate will enjoy day to day accounting within a tight knit, value driven culture and will utilize their accounting experience for A/P, A/R, and calculating commissions for the sales employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage A/P and A/R processes
- Calculate and process sales team commissions accurately and timely
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare financial reports as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in A/P and A/R
- Knowledge of basic accounting functions
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Acceptable: Associate's degree in Accounting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
