Human Resource Manager is a member of the Operational Leadership team, and is responsible for planning, leading and directing the Human Resources (HR) team and functions.  The HR Manager leads implementation of the organization’s talent strategy, performance development and management processes, benefits and leave administration, and supports the development, communication and reinforcement of company initiatives, policies and practices.  The position works closely with the executive leadership in developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities. 

Maintains in-depth knowledge of principles, practices, standards, and techniques and demonstrates knowledge in accordance with policies and procedures within pertinent laws and regulations in the following areas: 
•    Through the HR function, the HR Manager supports the organization’s commitment to health equity, ensuring the highest level of care is provided to all our patients, inclusive of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures, national origin, religious beliefs, or disability status.
•    Collaborates with executive leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to human resource and talent strategy including current and future talent needs, recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
•    Oversees daily HR operations, ensuring effective implementation and management of HR policies and procedures.
•    Leads and supports the development of human resources team members, provides coaching and mentorship, supporting their professional development and career growth.
•    Represents organization in the community through recruiting, networking, and community events.
•    Provides support and guidance when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
•    Leave of absence administration – manages federal and multi state leave programs (including paid leave WA and OR) and leave policy company wide.
•    Benefits administration – Regularly engages brokers and carriers on maximizing affordable quality healthcare and benefits to meet the needs of staff and their dependents. Supports benefits program communication and execution for team members and their dependents. 
•    Retirement plan administration – acts as liaison between employees and recordkeeper, trustees and fiduciary/TPA/recordkeeper.  Ensures day to day administration and supports plan participant communication.
•    Employment agreements, non disclosure, non solicitation, and arbitration agreements.
•    Compensation – Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent. Supports the Finance team with administration of the compensation calculator.
•    Healthcare provider – liaises between employed provider group, finance and business teams team to ensure execution of pay practices consistent with providers’ individual employment agreements, FTE and CME requirements.  Supports benefits administration and employment agreements.
•    Advises and executes comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans in line with strategic goals. Provides overall leadership and guidance overseeing talent acquisition, compensation and total pay, supporting full cycle recruitment to onboarding.  Collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
•    Advises executives and department managers on performance management practices including legal implications.
•    Collaborates with department leaders on employee performance development and management, including performance review processes, performance management meetings, terminations, and investigations.
•    Maintains compliance with federal, multistate, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
•    Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
•    Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Experience

What You Will Bring…
•    Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent professional experience in related field preferred.
•    Professional HR Certification such as SHRM-CP®, SHRM-SCP®, PHR® and SPHR® highly preferred.
•    Minimum of five years of progressive human resources management experience required, preferably within healthcare management. Two years of people management or professional leadership role required.
•    Experience with multistate employment, compliance, and leave laws.
•    Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
•    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•    Proficient with human resource information system required; prior experience with ADP WFN and Paylocity preferred.
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
•    Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus.
