Job Full Description:
A local Property Management company is seeking an experienced Property Manager to handle the day-to-day operations of a multi-unit property located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to providing quality, professional service to residents, staff, and vendors.
Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the daily operations of a multifamily residential property, ensuring facilities are well-maintained and meet all safety and regulatory standards.

Supervise, mentor, and support on-site staff, fostering a professional and positive work environment.

Deliver exceptional customer service, handling move-ins, move-outs, resident billing, lease agreements, and resident concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain an organized and accurate filing system for resident and property records; complete all month-end closing procedures accurately and on schedule.

Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new residents and retain current ones, conducting interviews to assess housing needs and qualifications.

Ensure full compliance with Fair Housing laws during all leasing and occupancy processes.

Process subsidy billings, manage rent collections, address delinquencies, and maintain accurate financial records.

Manage property receivables, payables, and budgeting to ensure financial efficiency and stability.

Coordinate with maintenance staff and contractors to ensure timely resolution of work orders and property repairs.

Maintain professional relationships with residents and vendors while upholding high service standards.

Foster a positive community environment through open communication and collaboration.

Collaborate with other departments to support overall property and company goals.
Schedule: Mon-Thurs 8:30am-5:00pm and Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
Job Experience

Minimum of 3 years of property management experience required.

Proven leadership abilities and experience managing on-site staff and day-to-day operations.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and positive relationships quickly.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and work well under pressure.

Proficient in property financials, including rent collections, subsidy billing, receivables, payables, and budgeting.

Experience with property management software; Yardi experience preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Strong understanding of Fair Housing laws.

Real Estate License required within 6 months of employment.
- Valid driver's license required.

Industry designations preferred: CAM, CALP, ARM, COS, SHCM.

Strong decision-making, mentoring, delegation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, regulations, and procedures; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Job Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
