Job Full Description:

A contents restoration company is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations for the Western Michigan region. This role requires strong leadership in managing field service teams, routing, scheduling, warehouse management, and cleaning and restoration production. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of restoration and customer service experience, along with proficiency in various operational software and excellent organizational skills.

Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the routing and scheduling of field service teams, ensuring efficient territory coverage.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in warehouse software and train staff on operational procedures.
  • Review and manage job assignments from start to finish, ensuring quality service delivery.
  • Assess and address performance issues to ensure timely resolution of operational barriers.
  • Collaborate with the Routing and Logistics Director and senior leadership to provide updates on production, field teams, jobs in process, and KPI results.
  • Develop training schedules for field teams, drivers, and warehouse staff, ensuring cross-training opportunities.
  • Manage labor hours, travel, fuel, and supply budgets to optimize efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse to support effective workflow.
  • Oversee vehicle inspections and warehouse maintenance to ensure operational standards.
  • Manage payroll verification and purchase orders for department supplies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure effective project management for sales opportunities.

Schedule: Full-time position, Direct Hire.

Job Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in restoration and customer service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and operational software (such as XRM, SPOT, FSA, WTA).
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Previous leadership experience and ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments to meet company goals and enhance operational efficiency.
