A local plastics manufacturing company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Major Account Support Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will serve as the primary internal contact for all business to business customer interactions, post-production engineering and legacy product-related inquiries. This position will require strong communication skills, adaptability to changing demands, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Responsibilities:

  • Manage key accounts, including pricing adjustments, general account management, and order follow-ups.

  • Initiate and coordinate quote requests, ensuring timely follow-up with both internal and external sources.

  • Initiate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and New Product Launches (NPLs) generated by the sales team.

  • Provide support to the sales team throughout the entire sales process as needed.

  • Coordinate customer pricing, evaluate annual volume versus quoted volume, and provide feedback to the sales team.

  • Handle customer communications, including shipping updates, document provision, survey administration, technical information dissemination, and prompt resolution of customer inquiries.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Sales to ensure accurate quoting, successful NPL and ECO implementations, and alignment with customer requirements.

  • Maintain records with up-to-date customer information.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the company, promoting safety, efficiency, and a positive work environment.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

Job Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).

  • Experience with IQMS and customer websites.

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent follow-up abilities.

  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).

  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple demands effectively.

  • Basic math skills and the ability to perform cost evaluations.

  • Experience in project management preferred.
  • Previous experience working with a plastics manufacturer is preferred.

Job Education

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred, but not required.
