A leading manufacturing company with multiple locations and a growing workforce is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented HR Manager to join its team. The ideal candidate will possess strong labor law expertise and excel in project-focused initiatives, particularly in pay changes, employee handbooks, and federal and local law. HR Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of employment processes, including compensation, payroll, benefits, employee relations, performance management, and training programs.
- Offer HR guidance and support to both employees and management, providing coaching on performance issues and resolving conflicts.
- Develop, implement, and oversee company policies and programs in training, compensation, compliance, and benefits to attract and retain talent.
- Maintain accurate electronic employee records within HRIS and payroll systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning equal employment opportunities, unemployment compensation, EEOC, FMLA, and FLSA.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and resolve issues effectively.
- Assess training needs and create development programs, including onboarding, classroom training, safety protocols, and leadership training.
- Propose and implement programs and policies that safeguard both company and employee interests, in line with HR standards and legal requirements.
- Supervise and mentor other HR staff as necessary.
- Lead initiatives related to compensation structures, handbook revisions, and ESPA updates.
- Collaborate on training and safety programs, ensuring adherence to OSHA regulations and handling worker’s compensation matters.
- Make decisions regarding employee benefits in partnership with third-party vendors to enhance coverage options.
- Align HR initiatives across all locations with corporate guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and manufacturing sector regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, with schedule variance needed at times to match production schedule.
Job Experience

- HRCI and/or SHRM certification is preferred.
- 3-5 years of HR experience in multi-location manufacturing settings is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations is essential.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels; must exhibit approachability and transparency.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly HR-related software.
Job Education
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is desired.
