Job Full Description:

A local faith-based organization committed to fostering a supportive and empowering workplace culture is seeking a dedicated HR Generalist (HRG). The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing our comprehensive benefits program, ensuring that employees receive the support they need. This role will also focus on employee onboarding, maintaining personnel records, and enhancing staff retention through targeted training and feedback initiatives. The HRG will collaborate on performance management, facilitate in-house investigations, and play a key role in the annual evaluation process. Additionally, the HRG will assist in securing training funds through grant applications while ensuring compliance with all grant requirements.

Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities:

  • Administer both insurance and non-insurance benefits programs for employees, including enrollment, quality checks, responding to inquiries, training, and all other aspects of benefit oversight.
  • Support retention efforts by coordinating employee training, gathering feedback, and managing stay and exit interviews.
  • Collaborate on performance management initiatives and lead the annual performance evaluation cycle.
  • Participate in in-house investigations as needed.
  • Assist in securing training funds through grant submissions and ensure compliance with grant stipulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Experience

Human Resources Generalist Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of benefits administration and performance management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace.
  • SHRM certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, comfortable with HRIS technology, easily able to learn and implement new software.
  • Model of professionalism, in appearance, demeanor, decision-making, speech, and writing.

Job Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field. 3-5 years in human resources generalist experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
