Job Full Description:
The Specialized Recruiting Group of Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a Tax Specialist Position for a firm based in Indianapolis.
Tax Specialist Job Summary
- Prepare all required business and individual federal and state income tax forms
- Provide business and individual tax planning services
- Advise clients regarding effects of business activities on taxes, and on strategies for minimizing tax liabilities
- Ensure that organization complies with periodic tax payment, information reporting, and other taxing authority requirements
- Organize and maintain tax records and conducts special tax research projects
- Devise and install client databases containing tax records
- Provide tax advice to clients or business
Salary and Benefits:
- Base Salary is $75k to $85k

Job Experience
- 3+ years of tax planning and preparation
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and UltraTax software
- Intermediate knowledge of QBO, Accounting Practices and Principles
- Intermediate project management skills, including acting as a project lead
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide innovative tax solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax concepts to clients and team members.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on professional development and employee engagement.
- Proficient in tax software and related technology, with the ability to adapt and learn new software as required.
Job Education
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent combination of experience and training that will provide the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities to perform the functions of the position proficiently
