Job Full Description:
This is a Remote Direct Hire Civil Engineer opportunity for a construction company located in South Central Indiana. We're looking for a talented Civil Engineer/Site Designer to lead the engineering and design of site/civil and stormwater management projects. Be part of our dynamic design/build team and make a real impact on innovative construction projects.
Civil Engineer (Remote) Summary:
- Lead site/civil design and stormwater management for building projects
- Prepare construction documents, manage permits, and collaborate with project teams
- Conduct surveys, manage stormwater solutions, and ensure compliance with environmental codes
- Work with project managers to meet budgets and deadlines while driving innovation
- Design site layouts, grading, utility systems, and ensure accurate stormwater management plans
- Review construction submittals and assist with quantity take-offs
- Provide technical expertise during pre-construction planning, including site assessments, soil reviews, and mass earthwork bids
- Collaborate with superintendents to resolve on-site construction challenges and update plans as needed
- Attend client meetings to discuss site development, schedules, and cost-effective solutions
- Ensure projects meet environmental standards, local ordinances, and building codes
- Participate in construction inspections to verify compliance with plans and regulations
Pay/Benefits:

- Remote Option (Ideal candidate will be able to travel to Central Indiana 1 week every other month for site meetings)

Job Experience
- Ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in site design, stormwater management, grading, and utilities
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Carlson
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team or independently
Job Education
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical training(P.E. license or ability to secure one is required)
